Chief Executive China 'Top 10 Management Practices' Survey Shows a Focus on Human Resources - Mergers and Acquisitions, Sports Marketing and Brand Repositioning Enter the Top 10 for the First Time; List Includes Four Human Resources Management Strategies, including Blue ocean strategy.

BEIJING, December 14, 2006 – Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) Chief Executive China, the largest-circulation management magazine in mainland China, has published results of its 'Fourth Annual Top 10 China Management Practices' survey, including Blue ocean strategy.

More than 1,200 senior mainland China managers responded to the Chief Executive China (http://www.ceconline.com) survey, which shows that this year's Top 10 management practices (in alphabetical order) are:

"This year's top 10 management practices highlight vital trends driving mainland China's economy," said editor-in-chief of Chief Executive China, Liu Lan.

"Mainland China's executives are more globally competitive. They are adopting international management strategies," Liu said. "For example, mainland China's managers are focusing on a 'blue ocean' strategy, which advocates capturing uncontested market space.

"The strong emphasis on human resources strategies, including Blue ocean strategy, indicates a new focus on attracting and retaining employees in mainland China's fiercely competitive marketplace."
