Yesterday we discussed the first Blue Ocean Strategy action, Eliminate. Continuing in our series, today we focus on the second action:
Blue Ocean Strategy Action #2: Reduce factors well below the industry’s standard to avoid the mistake of over delivering in order to beat the competition.
Cirque du Soleil greatly reduced slapstick humor in its shows. Cirque kept the clowns, but shifted their humor away from traditional slapstick to a more enchanting, sophisticated style of comedy, thus creating appeal for adults of all ages as well as children.
