Business Strategy Articles : Internet Marketing Strategy - Online Internet Business by Anderson Josiah
Three Things NEVER To Do with your Online Business.
In business there are certain things you must not do if you want to be successful in your online home based business. But if you already run a successful business you would already know this. If you are new to business ownership the following tips can be very helpful. First of all never ever skimp on promotion advertising and marketing. Without adequate marketing your business can end up making a huge loss in product or services sales.
A perfect example is a small business that sells audio CD's for children that is introducing a new item on the market. This business is unknown and relatively new. They have a great website which they advertise in a couple of the local newspapers, Only a small handful of people will be aware of this new company and its audio CD product. A much better way of marketing and advertising would have been to advertise in larger nationwide newspapers or putting there website address on a Billboard that can be seen by allot of people in heavy traffic areas. This might be a little more expensive but you will get more bang for your buck, you will reach a greater audience base.
Secondly never underestimate your competition; use the internet to do some investigating and always keep your guard up. If you are in a very competitive market you should consider this. If for example you own a Music Site you would want to know if any sites have any special offers. Do they have a greater selection? What are there rates like, are there prices cheaper or more expensive? Do the have discounted packages like buy 5 get one free? You need to pay close attention to both the bigger and smaller Music Sites both in your area and nationwide. You want to be competitive with there prices so if you can't go cheaper try to at least match there prices. Customers love to get cheaper prices even if it only saves them a couple of cents.
Lastly you should never go into business without properly researching it. You want to ensure you know as much as you can about the home business you are planning to get involved with. You want financial details and as much information on your potential competition, the internet can help you get this information. When you devote time to do research you improve your chances for success, it is almost guaranteed, you would not want any surprises coming up later down after you have invested your time and money. You want your business to run as easy as possible
If you follow the internet marketing strategy above your online internet business would be on the right track. This will help you create a good business foundation. Remember do not enter into any business venture without proper planning and research. Treat your company like you would treat your children. Nurture it, give it allot of loving care and all the things that it will need to grow and you will be happy with the results If you would like to know more on this topic check out the link below for "Dotcomology" the art of making money with your home business.

Internet Marketing Strategy For Your Home Business - Know Your Competition
Business Strategy Articles : Internet Marketing Strategy For Your Home Business - Know Your Competition by Anderson Josiah
One of the biggest challenges any new business owner will face is dealing with the threat of new competitors who want to get a piece of your market. This is something that you cannot get away from when in business so forming a powerful strategy even before you start up is very important in order for your business to be successful in the long term.
Additionally it is not only very important to know and understand your direct competition but you also need to now about indirect competitors in your market. Using the internet to spy on your competition is a very powerful marketing strategy.
Nearly all the goods that are available on the market have substitutes and compliments.
An example is if someone wanted to purchase some powered detergent if she or he could not find any in the supermarket they can then probably decide to buy liquid detergent instead.
This is also true for any type of industry because customers will always be able to find substitutes for services and products that they can't find. We also need to consider having a very effective distribution system that will allow you to reach targeted customers where they are located; this will greatly increase your money earning potential.
It is also a very good idea to always check out the features of your competitor's products, the quality and price range that they offer.
Being aware of the weaknesses and strength of you competition and comparing it with your own will give you the opportunity to put in place strategies that will allow you to effectively compete in your marketplace. You would want to concentrate on your good points and try to take advantage of your competitor's weak points. Remember your competition would be doing the same to you, they would try to point out your weak points to your customers to try to improve there market share.
In addition to your present competition, you should also consider future competition because it is very possible that new competitors will try to enter your market in a couple of years. You can visit blogs, forums and chatrooms that are related to your particular market to keep up with new trends, technologies and potential threats to your business. Having a very strong strategy and a loyal customer base will enable your online home business to survive all these potential challenges. Most new businesses put there emphasis on a low price range and this could either be a good or a bad for your business.
An example of this is that it can be great if the product that new competition is offering has a lower price but if it is of a poor quality this will establish your product as a superior good or product. But, if they are offering better good and services at a much lower price, then you might need to get involved in a price war. Never forget that your strategy should always depend on the particular situation and perception of your market. Internet Marketing Strategy for your Home Business - Planning Your Budget
Business Strategy Articles : Internet Marketing Strategy for your Home Business - Planning Your Budget by Andy Josiah
Planning a financial budget is certainly one of the most important things a company can do, It is defiantly impossible to get anything done correctly in company without a financial budget, and in the more experienced company models it is against the law not to have financial budgets that shows you exactly what is the company's financial position in terms of cash flow and cash availability.
Planning your financial budget is probably the most importantly thing you can ever do to help company. A well planned financial budget that is well executed is going to be a good help to any company, naturally a badly planned financial budget will defiantly be the collapse of any company before they even have the chance to be successful.
So, what is it that actually makes a great financial budget? Well, in a nut shell any financial budget that has incoming money that covers the out going monies is a great start. Even more so, the cash inflows must at least be equal if not in more than of the cash outflows and the cash outflows together have to produce something that is very competitive to the company itself. So simply put you need to make more money than you spend.
A great rule to follow when putting together a budget is the cost efficiency principle. This principle simply says that you should try not be tentative to spend y amount of money if you are will get z amount of money in return with z being at equal to y if not higher. Now, this is a very interesting idea but some might argue that it is not doable in the early stages of a company because a company needs to spend a lot of money to get itself off and running successfully.
This is a very critical point, but one that is very superficial at best. Although each item y might not produce a gross income of z, you can add other items together to receive that result. Suppose you have a + b + c resulting in e + f + g and both of these equations are equal to D, then there is nothing to be worried about because you are following to the cost efficiency principle in your financial budget.
This should be exactly how you plan a good budget. You identify exactly what has to be done from a financial point of view and then make sure to do it out in a way that will allow you to apply the cost efficiency principle. Do not ever invest money in a company unless you plan to make profits (or something more valuable than the as money you invested) out of it; If this does not happen you need to ask your self, what was the reason for starting a company. Internet Marketing Strategy for Online Internet Business - Budgeting your money
Business Strategy Articles : Internet Marketing Strategy for Online Internet Business - Budgeting your money by Andy Josiah
One of the more difficult things to do when you're starting a new home business is planning and putting together a financial budget. Without any past data on which to base expenses and income it might seem like your guessing, but as part of any companys' business plan an estimated budget can be done with some thought of future operations.
In almost all companies there are really two categories, expense and income. Under your expenses category there could be several smaller sub-categories most often falling within two areas uncontrollable and controllable expenses. While most small business owners claim that they have control over all expenses involved in their campaign, they are just burying there heads in the sand as some costs such as rent, utility cost, and other fixed costs can change, without any control by the owner.
Some other expenses like insurance, payroll, advertising and promotion can be subjected to a budget and are considered to be a controllable expense. If the company begins to slip off, you can try to control a few of these expenses by sending home staff and cutting spending on promotion and advertising.
Depending on the sustainability of your company if the business is going through a bad spell it often is a good investment to take the bull by the horn and pay employee salaries, continue to provide a good service to the balance of the remaining loyal customers until business is back on its feet. It might be hard to pay staff but by trying to do all the work yourself not only will you quickly burn out , and if no one is handling the customers it wont be long before there are no clients left to take care of.
There are normally a couple of ways you can budget your companies money and that is through percentage of income and set dollar amount. Many companies will try to budget their controllable expense by dollars and non-controllable by percentage of income. It goes without saying that a great part of the owners' time will be spent towards bring money and new customers to the company and how much they have budgeted on controllable expense will directly related to income.
An example is, a business earning $200,000 per month in income who has budgeted of six percent for wages, providing $12000 for salaries. If the salaries level increases to $500,000 the budgeted salary percent does not change but the money available for wages climbs to $30,000 with the aim to increase sales and business profits, the business owner might probably need the extra assistance to help take care of company.
There are other types' expenses like Social taxes paid by employers can also end up into the payroll account also workers' compensation charges and paid leave time or other bonuses that might be given by the company. Although budgets could be very difficult to calculate for new companies, it is necessary for all small business entrepreneurs . Boost Targeted Traffic for Your Online Business with a Good Linking Strategy
Business Strategy Articles : Boost Targeted Traffic for Your Online Business with a Good Linking Strategy. by Kanaga Siva
Traffic is of utmost importance for the success of your online business. Getting loads of untargeted or irrelevant traffic is not in any way going to help your online business. A good linking strategy is what you need to ensure that you get a stream of targeted traffic. It is better to generate 200 targeted traffic visitors a day rather than 2000 visitors who have little or no interest in your products and services. The linking strategy detailed below will show you how to get about doing this.
1. You should endeavor to get as many one way inbound links as possible because Search Engines love them immensely. This will be possible if your website has unique, quality content. If you have such great content, other webmasters will be eager to link their websites to yours to provide their visitors a good experience. This will provide you with one-way links thus generating valuable traffic for your website.
2. One of the best ways of generating targeted traffic for your online business is to write quality authoritative articles on the theme of your website and submitting them to article directories and article distributors. You should of course have your website URL in the resource box. These articles will be grabbed by webmasters and published in their websites and ezines. This will soon have a viral effect, which in turn will generate a huge volume of traffic to your website through the link in the resource box.
3. Another useful strategy is to identify the sites that the search engines consider as Authority Sites in the same theme or niche as yours and endeavor to exchange links with these sites because these are sites that generate a huge amount of traffic. These sites often have more quality content and more pages than other sites and in most search engine results for high traffic keywords, they will appear within the first ten results. If you are successful in exchanging links you are assured of a substantial amount of targeted traffic from them.
4. Though there is much talk about Search Engines devaluing reciprocal links due to certain unethical practices indulged in, by certain webmasters, search engines do appreciate quality theme related reciprocal links. Acquiring such reciprocal links will generate targeted traffic to your site.
5. As a new online entrepreneur your anxiety to generate traffic can lead you into pitfalls knowingly or unknowingly. Wrong linking strategies can get your website penalized or even banned by Google and other major search engines. Keep away from Link Farms and Bad Neighborhoods. Link farms are pages in websites that contain more than one hundred assorted links in a page and Bad Neighborhoods are websites that are banned by the search engines or have a bad reputation.
6. Wherever possible ensure that you have anchor texts in your inbound links. These anchor texts give the search engines a good indication of the theme of your website or web page. By having your keywords in the texts the rankings for these keywords will get a boost which in turn will enable you to get targeted traffic. It will be wise to vary the keyword in the anchor text, since too many of same anchor texts can make your links appear like spam to the search engines.
Conclusion: Act with caution and act wisely. Don't tread into areas where even Angels fear to tread and get penalized. A gradual and progressive increase of quality, relevant incoming links, will indicate to the search engines, that you are hard at work building a genuine good linking strategy. This will automatically boost the flow of targeted traffic for your online business.

International Business - US Global Business Phone Strategy
Business Strategy Articles : International Business - US Global Business Phone Strategy by Aaron Siegel
In your plans to go global you will need to make your business phone communications global as well. An important part of your communications relies on the ability for customers and buyers to easily make contact with your business internationally and local.
The planning and development that goes into expanding your business overseas is already a task in itself. Studying the demography of your region and market viability are just a few of the processes of developing an international business strategy. When going through the planning development however it is important to not forget business communications. Internal communications obviously will be standard planning procedure however consumer and business communications must not be neglected either.
Offering global buyers and customers a way to contact your business through a phone number is not enough. It is seen everyday with international business and it hasn't seemed to change, that is the fact that the numbers offered for international clients tends to merely be the instruction of dialing internationally to their local business number. While helpful, you aren't doing much of a favor for your future customers or current customer base.
You may think you have your bases covered with a regional phone number via a satellite office within the geography of your new market empire. One thing you might want to remember even in that case is that the same rules apply when it comes to rewarding customer experiences and increased sales, you need a toll free number.
It may not be well known to many but there is in fact toll free numbers in other countries other than the United States. These numbers may not necessarily start with 1-800 but are recognized digits all the same in the countries of their origin and many do in fact start with the second, third, and fourth digits being 800.
The process of getting a toll free number outside of the United States does not require much luckily. There are quite a few companies out there offering international toll free numbers for business at fairly competitive rates. Along with the companies offering these services there is not any advanced IT requirements to implement an international toll free number for your business either.
Acquiring an international business toll free number is a very simple process and getting the calls to route to your business phone line(s) is nothing more than informing the international toll free company which number you wish to have calls routed to.
Some international business toll free number companies have on-the-fly routing which means that calls can be routed and switched to alternate locations instantly usually from a site using a customer login allowing you to free up call center volume to alternate lines or even to a cell phone depending on the uses of the toll free number.
Additional considerations such as bilingual call center staff and new call center development may apply, however acquiring an international toll free number will be a headache free experience once you find the provider you wish to do business with. Two highly recommended companies are Kall8 and TollFreeForwarding which offer simplicity for their business clients as well as competitive pricing.
